Earl Bartlett Cummings

Earl Bartlett Cummings, son of Fred and Jessie Cummings was born at Winfield, Iowa June 18, 1904 and died after a long illness at the family home in Cambridge last Sunday in the afternoon of July 11 aged 16 years and 23 days.

Earl's passing away leaves the mother and father grieving the first break in the family circle, while three brothers, Howard, Lloyd and Melvin and one sister are deprived of the fellowship of a loving brother.

Earl was well known in Winterset where he attended the public schools until the family moved to Cambridge last October.

He was also a member of the Church of Christ Bible school and was a good boy.

Funeral services were held at the home of Nevin Landers Tuesday afternoon conducted by Rev. J. W. Stewart, after which the body was laid to rest in the Winterset Cemetery.
