John Baker, a former resident of this place, died at his home near Peru, Friday, April 10 after an illness of several months. Funeral services were held at Tidrick’s funeral home Sunday, April 12, and burial was in the Winterset cemetery.

Death of John Baker

John Baker, seventy-eight years old, died Thursday of last week at his home southwest of Peru. He had been in ill health some time. His wife and nine children survive.

Services were held at the Tidrick funeral home in Winterset Sunday afternoon at two o’clock conducted by the Rev. Glenn Marshall, Pastor of the Church of God; burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
