Life began for Laura Elnora Stegall on March 5, 1874, in the home of her parents, Fremont and Hannah Stegall, in Knox county, Illinois. It was there she grew to womanhood and was married to Joseph Buck, on Dec. 13, 1900.

Ten years ago, she confessed her faith in Christ, and united with the Orange Chapel M. E. church, near DeLong, Ill., where she has since held membership.

Mrs. Buck came to Iowa with her family, in October, 1912, locating near Earlham, where she made true and permanent friendships among those with whom she labored. With the dawn of July 31, 1920, life’s page was completed and the spirit returned to God who gave it. She leaves in sorrow, her devoted husband, these children: Lloyd A., Marie F., Edna M., Orilla J., and Florence L; an aged father, one granddaughter; three sisters: Mrs. Cora Moore of Chariton, Iowa; Mrs. Bessie Parker of Abingdon, Ill.; and Mrs. Elizabeth McWilliams, of Av--, Ill.; three brothers: Milton, of Abingdon, Ill.; Solomon of Earlham, and Charley of DeLong, Ill., along with other friends and relatives.

Funeral services were held at Early Chapel, conducted by Walter Hudson, and interment was made in the Penn Center cemetery.
