Services for Mabel B. Bricker, 85, a lifetime resident of Madison County who died Jan. 28 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital, were held Monday, Jan. 31 at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Updike officiating. Burial was at the Penn Center Cemetery.

Born at Earlham Feb. 21, 1897, she was the daughter of Austin and Retta Fry Bridges. She married Charley L. Bricker March 15, 1920 in Winterset. Most of her life was spent as a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth of Earlham; a daughter, Celia Lois Smith of Winterset; a brother, Cecil Bridges of Lincoln, Neb.; sisters, Alta Rinard of Winterset and Lois Clock of California; three grandchildren, a step grandchild, and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Lawson and Charles Bridges.
