Into the happy home of R. A. and Mamie Wetrich, on Jan. 18, 1911, was born their oldest child, Wayne, and on July 18, 1920, just as the beautiful day was slipping into the shades of the evening, surrounded by his nearest and dearest, he went back to God.

No life has ever gone out without having fulfilled its mission in this earth life; God in his great loving kindness has blessed these parents with nine and one half years of happy intimate association with this on of His little ones, and today as they think of their darling boy, they can only recall his happy disposition, his patience and thoughtfulness.

During the weeks of his suffering he was patient far beyond one of his years, the thoughtfulness that characterized all of his young life was manifested during his illness, often urging his parents and the nurse to lie down to rest, thinking of them before his own needs.

On one occasion, when the pain was intense, he looked up lovingly ---- him in comfort and cheer and said, “Mama, did you tell me there is no pain in Heaven?” and gladly she answered, “No, Wayne, there is no pain, no sorrow in Heaven.” The little face drawn with suffering, brightened with the assurance that mother could bring.

His life work is finished; God took him because He had need of him there rather than here, and his memory lingers with us a precious, priceless heritage.

Besides the parents, he leaves a brother, Carl, aged six years and two little sisters, Eugena and Ardeth, to whom he was most devoted, his grandparents, who loved him as their own, together with a host of relatives and friends who mourn.
