Pg 5Death of Mrs. Henry Palmer
Mrs. Henry Palmer passed away at her home south of DeSoto Monday, January 3d. She was past seventy years of age and has made her home for years in Madison county. Death came after several years of illness.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 2 o’clock, at the Fairview church and interment was in the Fairview cemetery. More details of her life will appear in next weeks issue.

Pg 5Evie Harris was born December 18th, 1854, in Morgan county, Ohio, and died at her home south of DeSoto, January 2, 1928. She was married in 1868 to Henry Palmer. To this union were born eleven children, eight of whom are still living, three having passed away, Archer, George, and an infant son. Those living are Ellsworth, of Earlham; S. D., of Dexter; Mrs. Eva Paulin, of Booneville; Carey, of Earlham; Mrs. Melissa Finney, of Winterset; Lee, of DeSoto; Mrs. Maggie Finney, of Winterset, and Lily, at home. There are also eighteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Her early life was spent in Illinois, but thirty-five years ago the family moved to their present home. She has been a member of Fairview Methodist church since 1898, where her funeral services were held, conducted by the pastor, Rev. James Walls, of DeSoto, assisted by Rev. F. C. McCalon, of the Winterset Christian church, Wednesday, January 4th. Interment was made in the Fairview cemetery.
