Dexter, IowaMrs. Eli Fett Passed Away
Died in Des Moines, Sunday, Following an Operation the Week Before
Mrs. Eli Fett passed away at 2:15 a.m. Sunday, May 9, at the Lutheran hospital in Des Moines. The funeral services, conducted by Rev. Daib in the Lutheran church, were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. Special songs were sung by Miss Helen Piper, Mrs. Charles Willrich, Mrs. James Stegal, Mrs. John Piper, and Mrs. Richard Clausen. Interment was in the Penn Center cemetery.
Mrs. Fett had not been in very good health for several years. She was taken to the hospital about ten days ago where she underwent a brain operation, Monday morning of last week.
Mrs. Eli Fett nee Jenete Brown was born at Odebolt, Iowa, March 18, 1888. She was united in marriage to Eli Fett, October 7, 1908 at Linton, North Dakota. Two children, Myrtle and Paul were born to them. She joined the Lutheran church at Dexter in 1912.
Mr. and Mrs. Fett have made Dexter their home since they were first married.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband; a daughter, Myrtle; a son, Paul; her father, Wesley Brown; and two brothers, Howard and Albert Brown.
The out of town relatives who attended the funeral were the father, Wesley Brown, brother, Albert Brown, and cousin, Sam Brown, all of Foreston, Minnesota; friends from Des Moines, Panora, and Guthrie Center; W. C. Heavrin from the division office at Waterloo; and C. A. Chinnifield of Perry.
