January 1923Hazel Leona Lenocker was born in Madison county near Dexter, Iowa March 26, 1894; died at her home in Dexter, Iowa, January 20, 1923, she being 28 years 10 months and 14 days old at the time of her death.
She had not been in good health for a number of years, however the direct cause of her death was due to the birth of a baby daughter whose earthly existence was very limited, she having passed on to the great beyond with her mother.
Hazel graduated from the Dexter schools in the spring of 1912 and was married to Ray R. Barr February 18th, 1914. To this union were born three children, two boys Lee Lenocker and Ivan Willis and the infant daughter.
(Some of the obituary is unreadable) At the age of thirteen she united with the Presbyterian church and always took an active part in the music and Christian Endeavor until her health would not permit her to continue. She had affiliated with while residing in St. Joseph, Mo.; and also took an active part in the church work at Truro, where they resided for some time. She was a faithful and happy mother despite her physical condition.
Those who mourn her untimely death are her husband and two sons; mother Mrs. J. B. Lenocker and sisters Mrs. Nellie Williams; Miss Arta Lenocker; Mrs. Earl Linn; Mrs. Guy Linn; Brookings, South Dakota; Mrs. John Hill; Mrs. Ray Hill, Thompson, Iowa; and Miss Josephine Lenocker; and brother Lloyd Lenocker of Dexter, and two half sisters Mrs. Robt. Rankin of Cambridge, Nebr.; and Mrs. J. J. Larkey of Fruit Vale, Idaho; and two half brothers Al A. Lenocker of Omaha, Nebraska and Henry D. Lenocker of Dexter, Iowa and a host of friends.
