Thogarmah Reese, the aged father of Mrs. Arthur Vanderburg, died last Thursday, November 24, at the Vanderburg home, in Webster township. Mr. Reese was born in Wales seventy-nine years ago, but spent the early part of his life in Pennsylvania, then later in Mahaska county, and more recently in Kansas. Because of failing health, he and his wife, who was Sarah Ann Sales, have been living with Mr. and Mrs. Vanderburg for the past several years. The deceased is survived by his wife and four children, Frank Reese and Mrs. F. M. Pearsol, of Yates Center, Kansas, Mrs. W. H. Newhouse, of Auburn, Nebraska, and Mrs. Vanderburg.
Rev. A. R. Weed conducted the funeral services in the Vanderburg home Sunday afternoon, November 27, and burial was made in the Wight cemetery.
