Geo. Baur, for many years a resident of Madison county, died at his home in San Diego, California on September 24th. Mr. Baur, who was the elder son of the late Stanislaus Baur of Jefferson township, was born on the old home farm in the year 1856. For many years he owned and operated a fine farm on the Adair line, west of Pitzer. About 20 years ago, he left the farm on account of declining health and two years ago moved to California.

He leaves his wife and two daughters, Alice and Gladys Baur, all of San Diego.
