WILLIAM S. LONGNECKER
Wm. S. Longnecker, a man about 70 years of age, died Saturday morning at Dr. Cravens office after ten days illness. Mr. Longnecker had been staying in one room of the office during that time, taking treatment when on Friday he suddenly became worse and passed away.
He and his family came here from Shelby county less than two years ago, moving onto a farm southeast of here, near Oak Run, where he resided until his death.
A short funeral service was held at the home on Sunday by Rev. Bucher of Truro and on Monday the remains were sent to Defiance for burial. The Masonic lodge, of which he was a member, administered the final rites.
