ALONZO JAMES

Alonzo James was born in Madison county, Iowa, March 23, 1877 and died July 24, 1916, at the home of his sister, Mrs. J. M. Kellogg, aged 39 years, 4 months and 1 day. He was the youngest of eight children born to John H. and Permelia James.

He leaves surviving him, one sister, Mrs. Ella Kellogg; and four brother; Granville of Billings, Montana; Louis and Albert of Idaho, and Annon of this county, One brother died in infancy and one sister, Mrs. Alice Bosley, died in September 1906. Lon was industrious, a hard worker at useful labor and was truthful and honest in his dealings.

The funeral services were held at the home of his sister, Mrs. J. M. Kellogg in Scott township by Elder M. E. Young of Indianola. Interment at the Baptist cemetery northeast of Winterset
