Estimable Lady Succumbed to Complication of Ailments
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon for Mrs. George Graham who passed away Tuesday afternoon after an illness extending over a period of several years.
Mrs. Graham had been prominent in the service of the Dexter Presbyterian church, she had been an ardent worker for community projects.
Her passing is lamented by a great company of friends. Her family is sadly bereaved.
Funeral services were held from the Dexter Presbyterian church Thursday afternoon, June 6, with interment in the Dexter cemetery.
OBITUARY
Jennie Margaret Kirkpatrick, daughter of John and Martha Kirkpatrick, was born at Terryfork, Ohio, Jan. 10th, 1873, and died at her home south of Dexter, June 4th, 1935, aged 62 yrs, 4 mos., and 24 days.
When just a young girl, she went with her parents to Kansas, where they resided for a number of years. The family then moved to Dexter, Iowa, where she lived for 2 years, and then to Des Moines, where she resided for many years.
For 19 years she was employed by The Wallace Farmer, and knew intimately Uncle Henry Wallace, the founder of that paper.
She was united in marriage to George E. Graham, March 8, 1916, and from that time until her death, resided with her husband on the Graham farm south of Dexter.
Mrs. Graham was a Christian woman, a member of the Presbyterian church, and active in its work.
She leaves to mourn her death: her husband, above names, one step son, James C. Graham, held in her affection as a son, one grandson, Jimmie Lee Graham; two brothers, Walter P. Kirkpatrick, Detroit, Michigan, N. F. Kirkpatrick of Des Moines, Iowa; besides other dear relatives and many friends.
