Francis M. Moore died Monday May 16th, at the home of his mother in the northeast part of Winterset, after a long illness. He was sixty-two years of age, and had been in poor health for fourteen years. He was a son of Phillip and Ellen Moore, and was born near Winterset, September 16th, 1869. All of his life, with the exception of seven years, was spent in this county.

The deceased is survived by his mother, three sisters, Emma, at home, Ollie Morris at Seneca, Nebraska, Pearl Hartman of Creston, and one brother, Homer Moore, of Stockton, California. He is also survived by six nephews, three great nephews, to great nieces, one uncle, John L. Crawford, of Winterset, and an aunt, in Missouri. His father died last June.

Funeral services were held at the home, Wednesday afternoon, at two-thirty o’clock, and burial was made in the cemetery of the Primitive Baptist church.

LONG TIME RESIDENTS SUCCUMB TO DEATH

Marion Moore died Monday at his home in the east part of Winterset after an illness of many years duration. He was fifty-eight years old and had lived in the county most of his life. His father, Phillip Moore, one of the pioneer residents of the county, died about a year ago. The only relatives living in the county are his mother, with whom he made his home, and an uncle, John Crawford. Funeral services were held from the home Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Elder Wood, of St. Charles, assisted by other elders and interment was in the cemetery of the Primitive Baptist church.

Frances Marion Moore

Frances Marion Moore, son of Phillip and Ellen Moore, was born near Winterset, Iowa, September 16, 1869 and departed this life May 16, 1927, at the home of his mother in Winterset. He spent all his life here except seven years the family lived in Seneca, Nebraska. He had been in poor health fourteen years. He never united with any church but was a strong believer in the faith of the Primitive Baptist church which is salvation by grace. He passed away in peace and hope of better life.

He leaves to mourn his death his mother, three sisters and one brother, Emma, at home; Ollie Morris, of Seneca, Nebraska; Homer Moore, of Stockton, California, and Pearl Hartman, of Creston, Iowa; four nieces, six nephews, three great nephews, two great nieces, one uncle, John L. Crawford, of Winterset; one aunt, Mrs. Clark Alley, of Condian, Missouri. His father preceded him in death, June 23, 1926.

Funeral services were held from the home Wednesday afternoon, and interment was in the cemetery of the Primitive Baptist church.
