Lloyd D. Crawford, 71, of West Des Moines died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
A memorial graveside service was held Saturday, Jan. 22, at the Peru Cemetery in Peru, with Lt. Janelle Cleaveland of the Salvation Army officiating. Memorials may be directed to his family.
Lloyd was born on June 16, 1939, in Madison County to Charles and Mildred (Kephart) Crawford. He was married on Aug. 7, 1970, in Des Moines to Linda Calkins. Lloyd lived in Des Moines most of his life and had been a laborer and a farm hand.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mildred (Kephart) Crawford; two brothers, Henry Crawford and Rex Crawford; and a sister, Phyllis Jean Crawford.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Crawford of West Des Moines; brother, Don Crawford of Ottumwa; three nephews; two nieces; and 10 great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by McCalley-Collins Funeral Home in Winterset.
