Clinton George Rutherford, son of Mary and Joseph Rutherford, was born in Madison county, October 22nd, 1863, and departed this life February 11th, 1927, at the age of 64 years, 3 months and 19 days.

He was married to Mattie Smith in 1884 and to this union two children were born, Miss Mertie Jones of Sioux City, Iowa, and George, who died in infancy.

He with his wife was converted and united with the Church of Christ in 1893. The daughter and grandson have the sympathy of the entire community in the loss of their kindly father and grandfather.

Services were held in the Webster M. E. church by Rev. A. R. Weed on Saturday afternoon, February 12th, and the interment in the Wight cemetery.
