Pg 1Death of Freda Brant
The people of the Truro neighborhood were greatly shocked to hear of the death of little Freda Brant, ten year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Brant of Ohio township, on Tuesday evening, January 25th. The little girl had gone on horseback after the cows and had returned to the barn lot. It is not known how the accident happened, but she was found on the ground beside the pony unconscious about 5:30 o’clock. A doctor was called at once but she passed away at 8:30 without regaining consciousness. It is thought that a blood vessel was broken in the fall from the pony, causing a clot of blood on the brain.
Funeral services were held from the home Thursday morning with interment in the Lorimor cemetery.
