Mrs. Charles Stout, who had resided in the Patterson neighborhood, died Tuesday morning in the Mercy hospital in Des Moines. She was taken to the hospital November 12th and had an operation for goiter November 16th. It is said that she was recovering nicely from the operation, but she had a weak heart, and this caused her death. Mrs. Stout had lived south of Patterson for a number of years. About two weeks ago, just a day before she went to the hospital, her family moved to Indianola, where they now reside.

Funeral services are being held at Indianola this afternoon. Mrs. Stout is survived by her husband, two sons and a daughter.

Note: Burial was made in the IOOF cemetery, Indianola, Iowa.
