Pg 1James W. Campbell, a resident of this community for nearly fifty years, passed away this morning at the age of 76 years. He took an active interest in city affairs, served seven years on the Winterset city council and was prominent in the Masonic fraternity, having a long time affiliated with Evening Star Lodge No. 42, A.F. and A.M., Lebanon Chapter No. 11 R.A.M., Des Moines Consistory, No. 7, and Za-Ga-Zig temple of Des Moines in the Shrine.
He is survived by his wife and six brothers, Bob, Jack and Charles of Winterset, D. L. of Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, and C. H. Campbell of Wallace, Idaho.
