Hilda Kathleen Maxwell was born near Lucerne, Missouri, October 2nd, 1891, and died at Peru, Iowa, June 28th, 1926, at the age of 34 years, 8 months and 26 days. Hilda’s mother died when she was very young and Dr. and Mrs. E. F. Griffith were father and mother to her.

She was married to Warren McKee July 12th, 1911, and to this union were born three children—Vernon, Kathleen and Beverly, who with their father, mourn the loss of a wife and mother when surely most needed. She also leaves two sisters and one brother, two cousins, Esther and Amy, close as any sister, and Dr. Griffith, a father indeed to her. There are numerous other relatives and friends for all who knew her were her friends.

She contracted tuberculosis after moving to Nebraska where she and her family were making their home. Her illness lasted about eight months and she was a patient sufferer. Her chief concern was her family.

A loving wife and mother has passed on to her reward.
