Edward P. Stajcar, Sr., 71, of Lorimor died Sunday January 3, 2010, at his home in Rural Lorimor. Memorial services will be 11 am Friday, May 7, 2010 at Powers Funeral Home 601 New York Ave. Creston. Burial will be private, at a later date, at the Barney Cemetery, north east of Lorimor. Pastor Dwayne Henrichs will officiate. Family will receive friends from 10 am until the 11 am service time Friday May 7, 2010. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Edward Phillip Stajcar was born January 24, 1938 in Dallas Center, Ia. to Frances Marcella (Clark) and Irvin Phillip Higdin. Edward and his family moved to Lorimor in 1953. He graduated from the Lorimor High School in 1956.

On July 7, 1958, Edward married Alberta Fay Baker in Afton. Edward also attended Lincoln Technical Institute graduating in 1981. Edward early on worked road construction and later farmed in the Lorimor area for many years. He was a former member of the Lorimor Lions Club and the Lorimor Fire Department. He greatly enjoyed gardening.

Survivors includes his three sons: Phil Stajcar of Ralston, Ok.; Charles Stajcar of Lorimor; John William Stajcar of Blue Springs, Mo.; one daughter: Susie Boyd of Tulsa, Ok.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Alberta in 2007.
