T. M. Cooley died from heart failure on Sunday while visiting relatives near Northwood, Iowa. He lived but a few minutes when stricken about 10 o'clock Sunday forenoon.
The body was returned here Monday evening and burial made at the Montpelier cemetery. Mr. Cooley has lived near Patterson for about five years and was highly respected by the people of that vicinity.

Thomas Milford Cooley was born in Scott county, Indiana, June 13, 1857. He was married to Miss Alice Nichols March 4, 1876 and this union was blessed with two children, Wilburn and George. Just a few days prior to his death, he left his home near Patterson to visit his sons in the northern part of state, and while there was stricken with heart failure, on August 22d, from which he expired in about one hour.
The body was returned to Patterson and funeral services conducted by Rev. Fred Warner of the Patterson M. E. church were held from the home on Tuesday, the 24th and burial made in the Montpelier cemetery.
Besides the wife and two sons, he leaves one sister and two brothers. Many friends mourn his death, for he was an upright and highly respected citizen.
