Oliver Perry Armstrong was born in Madison county, Iowa, September 1, 1882 and died May 28, 1915, aged 33 years, 8 months and 29 days.
On January 2, 1907, he was united in marriage to Ethel Morgan. To this union were born four children, Oliver Clair, age 5 years, Edna May 2 years, an infant son and Ruby Mildred who died February 18, 1912, aged 4 years, 4 months and 11 days. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, three children, his father, G. W. Armstrong, four brothers and four sisters, Lester, Asa John, Lauran, Clyde, Laura, Birdie, and Vada, besides a host of friends. His mother passed away January 19, 1903.
Funeral services were held at the home, conducted by Rev. R. G. Clark and interment at Peru cemetery.

Perry Armstrong of Scott township died at the hospital in Des Moines on last Saturday following a second operation for abscess. Deepest sympathy is felt for his bereaved wife and children The obituary sketch of his life was handed this paper but too late for publication.

After eight weeks of suffering and long weeks of fighting insidious disease, Perry Armstrong had to succumb to the inevitable and passed away at the Methodist hospital in Des Moines Saturday afternoon. He was patient through it all, and left this world just in the prime of life – being 32 years of age – at a time when the young man or woman looks ahead to lay by for a greater future and the storing up for old age.
Olive Perry Armstrong was born in Madison county, Iowa, September 1, 1882, and after suffering two months with appendicitis, departed this life May 29, 1915, at the age of 32 years, 8 months and 29 days.
He was united in marriage to Miss Ethel Morgan, January 2, 1907. To this union were born four children, viz: Ruby Mildred, Orval Clair, 5 years; Edna May, 2 years, and a baby boy who was born May 24, 1915. All of whom are living except Ruby Mildred who departed this life February 18, 1912, at the age of 4 years, 4 months and 11 days.
He leaves to mourn his loss the wife and 3 children, his father, G. W. Armstrong, and 4 brothers and 4 sisters, Lester, Asa, John, Lauran, Clyde, laura, Burdie and Vada. His mother passed away January 26, 1903.
He was a member of two orders, viz: A. F. and A. M., and the M. W. of A. Many friends and relatives join in sympathy with the family. – Peru Mail.
