SAMUEL H. BOLING

Samuel H. Boling, one of the pioneer citizens of Monroe township passed away on the 17th of May at his home in Lorimor at the age of 77. He moved with his parents from Putnam county, Indiana, in 1855, and continued to reside in the same vicinity until last spring when he moved to Lorimor. He served as quartermaster in the War of the Rebellion, and soon after the close of the war returned to the farm in Monroe township.

He leaves three children, Cap and Earl Boling of Lorimor and Mrs. Willis Wolfe of Des Moines.
