Philip Dale Husted was born Jan. 21, 1918 and departed this life August 23, 1925, aged 7 years. Philip was the eldest son of Eldon E. and Verna Ballard Husted. He was struck by a passing auto in front of his home at 565 West 16th St., Des Moines, Saturday about noon. He was rushed to a hospital and all that loving hands could do was done to save his life, but God called him home.

The funeral was held at the Elm Grove M. E. church, Tuesday, Aug. 25th at 10:30 a.m., conducted by Rev. A. R. Weed. Burial was made at the Peru cemetery.
