Rose Ann Stowers was born May 29, 1833 at Bethlehem, Pa., and died April 25, 1925 at the advanced age of 91 years, 10 months and 26 days. She was converted and united with the Methodist church when she was 15 years of age.

She was married to Thomas Feely Nov. 11, 1852. She leaves to mourn her loss, one son, Elmer T. Feely of Denver, Colo.; two daughters, Mrs. Achsa Harrell of Hastings, Nebr., and Mrs. Myrtle Orr of Winterset; also a step daughter, Mrs. Nora O’Connell of Stratford, Wis. Her husband and four children, have preceded her in death.

Her faith in Christ, her savior, was a source of comfort and strength throughout her life. When by reason of her advanced age her eyesight was too dim to read her Bible, she enjoyed hearing the scriptures read to her. She often sang, “Happy day, happy day, when Jesus washed my sins away,” and then brushing away the tears would exclaim, “Oh, how I love that hymn.”

Funeral services were held at the M.E. church in Winterset, conducted by the pastor, Rev. D. J. Shenton. The interment was in the Winterset cemetery.
