Mrs. Anna Ziemann of Jefferson township, passed away this morning at the home of her mother, Mrs. Minnie Niendorf, after an extended illness. Besides the mother, she leaves a daughter, Edna; also four sisters and three brothers.

Anna Niendorf was born in Jefferson township, Madison county, Iowa, June 13, 1881. She was baptized the same year and renewed her baptismal vows at her confirmation, April 7, 1895.

On March 12, 1903, she was united in marriage to John Ziemann. This union, to which one daughter was born, was dissolved in 1922. Excepting a short time, Mrs. Ziemann lived in Van Meter since her marriage.

She passed away at the home of her mother in Jefferson township, Feb. 5th, aged 43 years, 7 months and 23 days.

She was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran church in Jefferson township, at the time of her departure.

The sorrowing survivors are, her only daughter, Edna; her mother, three brothers: John, Herman and Louis, and four sisters: Mary Roberts, Henrietta Kneuper, Augusta Marquardt and Amanda Marquardt. Her father, one brother and one sister preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Feb. 8th at Trinity Lutheran church by Rev. C. Lillie.

Note: Burial was made at Trinity Lutheran cemetery.
