Frank, son of Mr. and Mrs. I. V. Fairholm, was born in Douglas township, Madison county, March 23, 1878.

Here he grew to young manhood and in 1894, when 16 years of age, moved to Adair county. After 8 years spent in Adair county, he went to Bingham Canyon, Utah, returning later to Massena, Cass county, Iowa; then to his home county of Madison.

He was married Oct. 24, 1906 to Flora H. Simmons. To this union were born two children, Iris Elaine and Edgar, both at home. Besides the wife and two children, he leaves his father of Des Moines; two brothers, Arthur of Anita and Harry R. of Winterset; and two sisters, Mrs. C. R. Afflack of Earlham and Mrs. Dale Callison of Des Moines.

The mother preceded him in death May 8, 1924 and a sister, Lottie O., four years ago.

Mr. Fairholm was converted and became a member of the church at Bridgewater under the ministry of Rev. Rooks. He was affiliated with Masonic lodge No. 515, transferring his membership to Evening Star lodge No. 43, who attended in a body and assisted in the burial service.

He departed this life Jan. 13, 1925, aged 46 years, 10 months and 10 days. Many neighbors and friends join in sympathy with the bereaved family.

Funeral services, conducted by Rev. F. C. McCallon, were held from the Church of Christ on Friday afternoon and interment was made in the Winterset cemetery.
