Mrs. S. P. Case died at her home at two o’clock Wednesday morning after an illness extending over a period of several years, part of which time she was able to ride out, but confined to her bed for the past six months. She is survived by two sons Wm. Of Winterset and Ersie N. of Hancock, Ia., also two sisters, Mrs. Susie Case of Mulberry, Kansas, and Mary Anderson of Chicago, Ill. The husband preceded her in death a number of years ago. She was a member of the Methodist church and of the W.R.C.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at the Methodist church, conducted by Rev. D. J. Shenton.

Adaline Adelphia Sherod was born in Wisconsin, March 17, 1846. She passed away at her home in Winterset Oct. 15, 1924. She came to Iowa with her parents in 1852 and was married to Separate P. Case. To this union eight children were born, six of them dying in infancy. Those surviving are the two sons, Will J., of Winterset and Ersie N., of Hancock; also three grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Susie A. Case of Mulberry, Kans., and Mrs. Mary Anderson of Chicago. Mrs. Case joined the Methodist church in young girlhood in Dallas county and was an effective member at her death. She was also a member of the W.R.C.

The funeral was held Thursday, Oct. 16th at the M.E. church at 2 p.m.

Note: Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
