JERRY N. MINNICK, Truro

Jerry Norman Minnick, son of Charles Floyd Minnick and Geneva Maxine (Taylor) Minnick, was born February 20, 1938 in New Virginia, Iowa and passed from this life November 25, 2010 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa at 72 years of age.

Jerry graduated from Truro High School and served in the United States Air Force. He was united in marriage to Lola Cristan on January 12, 1962 in Aransas Pass, Texas, and one son, William Neal, blessed this union. They lived in Texas and Kentucky before moving back to Truro in 1974.

Jerry was a carpenter and cabinet builder. He was a collector of many things including antiques and rocks. He was a very talented builder and built his home from the blueprints to completion, including some of the rocks he collected in the building of his home. He enjoyed his flower garden and always had beautiful irises. He attended the Christian Church in Truro.

Those relatives who preceded Jerry in death were his parents; and brother, Jimmy Minnick.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Lola Minnick; son, William Neal "Bill" Minnick and grandson, William Henry "Willy" Minnick - all of Truro; sisters, June Keeney of Fremont, MO, Linda (Mark) Carlson of Cambridge, IA, Jackie (Jeff) Harryman of Wisconsin, many other relatives and a host of friends.

Memorial contributions may be directed to his family.

Visitation:

Visitation will be one hour prior to the memorial service on Monday at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola.

Service:

Memorial service will be 1:00 P.M. on Monday, November 29
