Pg 8Ralph C. Travis was born on July 20, 1917 and died on July 14, 1924. On next Sunday, he would have been seven years old. Although not so agile as his little playmates, he astonished both them and his grownup friends by the dexterity of his little fingers in the use of his tools and the wonderful toys he carved. He was a cheerful little fellow and occupied a sunshiny spot in the hearts of all who knew him. During his sickness he won the love of all who took care of him by his pleasant acceptance of all they tried to do for him.
He was a member of the Church of Christ Sunday school and always looked forward to the times he could be with his little classmates.
He leaves a loving mother and father; three sisters: Mary, Ruth and Eloise, and one brother, Glenn, besides his grandparents and other relatives and friends who will acutely feel his absence.
The funeral was held Tuesday morning at 11 o’clock by Rev. Shenton. The interment was made in the Winterset cemetery.
