Pg 3W. I. Harris, son of L. J. and Sarah Harris, was born in Madison county, Iowa, May 3, 1859 and died March 17, 1924 at Yankton, S. D., aged 64 years, 10 months and 8 days. He made his home in Iowa until 10 years ago, when he moved to South Dakota. He leaves to mourn him, an aged mother, two sisters, Mrs. M. L. Skinner of Collins and Mrs. L. A. Eldridge, of St. Charles, two brothers, J. L. of Lorimor and M. E., with other relatives and a host of friends. He was a firm believer in the gospel of Christ. Funeral services were held Friday morning at Fellowship church, conducted by Rev. M. L. Dewey. Interment was made in the cemetery near the Fellowship church, near Mr. Harris’ old home. The mother, who is past 91 years of age, was not able to be at the funeral.
Note: Burial was made in the Hamblin cemetery.
