Death of Mrs. L. R. Grimes

Mrs. Lee R. Grimes died at Pasadena, Calif., on March 5th. Death was caused by a heart trouble. Mrs. Grimes was known in Madison county as Alice Howell, daughter of the late Lanson Howell. She was born on the Howell farm near Patterson, spending her childhood and girlhood days there.

After her marriage, the Grimes family lived in Lee township for years. Then they moved to Des Moines, and from there to California, where they have made their home. Mr. Grimes died a year ago. Mrs. Grimes is survived by one daughter and one son.
