Death of Jesse Call

On Monday, Feb. 25th, Jesse Call of Winterset, died at his home at the age of seventy-two years. Two sons by a former marriage, Walter and John; Mrs. Catherine Call and her daughter, Opal, survive him.

Rev. E. B. Chancellor conducted funeral services on Tuesday afternoon at the Church of Christ. Interment was made in the Winterset cemetery.

Jesse Call was born in Alexandria, Ind., Feb. 15, 1852 and died at his home in Winterset, Feb. 25, 1924, at the age of 72 years and 10 days. On Oct. 30, 1884 he was united in marriage to Miss Anna L. Moore and to this union were born three children, one of whom died in infancy. Those living are Walter C. Call of Ottumwa and John B. Call of Peru. Mrs. Call having departed this life on May 10, 1912, Mr. Call was married to Mrs. Sarah Catharine Tope on Feb. 4, 1914. The companion, the two sons and one granddaughter, Opal Call of Des Moines, remain to cherish his memory. Other more distant relatives and well wishing friends and neighbors unite with these in the spirit of sympathy.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. E. B. Chancellor from the Church of Christ, Tuesday afternoon. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
