HUBERT STARK CHACE

Hubert Stark, son of Franklin Lee and Nola Venn Chace, was born Nov. 6, 1912 at their home near Mt. Vernon, S. D. Departed this life April 10, 1918 at their home west of Winterset, aged 5 years, 5 months and 4 days, after a prolonged illness of sugar diabetes.

All that loving hands and medical skill could do would not lengthen the life of this little one, who has brightened the home for these few short years. Hubert was always a cheerful boy and gladdened the hearts of many. During his sickness he was often asked how he felt, he would always answer “ I am alright.” God that doeth all things well gave him to us and now sees best to take him away, can help us in our sorrow. He leaves to mourn his loss, father, mother, two brothers and one sister, besides many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted at the home in Douglas township, Friday afternoon, April 12th, by Rev. J. E. Clearwater and the remains taken to Mt. Vernon, S.D., for interment.
