Page 1Mrs. Lillian Ketman Minkler died in Des Moines on Monday morning, March 12th, at the Congregational hospital, from uremic poisoning.
She is survived by an infant son, born on Saturday, March 10, and her husband Harold A. Minkler; also her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Ketman, one brother and three sisters. The Ketman family made their home in Winterset until their removal to Des Moines.
Mrs. Minkler graduated in 1916 from the Winterset high school, then graduated from Des Moines university in 1920. Her marriage took place about a year ago and the Minklers have been living at Cambridge, Iowa, Mr. Minkler being superintendent of the White Oak consolidated school.
Funeral services were held in Des Moines, Wednesday afternoon, with burial in Glendale cemetery.
Mrs. Minkler was born in Winterset 24 years ago and greatly endeared herself to her acquaintances by her sweet and affectionate disposition. From childhood, she had been a great help in her home, where she was always faithful and dependable in all of her undertakings. Her death has brought great sorrow to her friends and relatives, to whom the sacrifice of the life of this young mother for her child has brought the deepest sorrow.
