Mrs. Frances Tucker, widow of the late Byron Tucker, died on Feb. 28th, at her home in Pasadena, Calif., aged 80 years. The body was cremated there and the ashes reached Winterset on Saturday evening. A brief prayer service was held at the cemetery on Sunday, March 11th, at three o’clock, conducted by Dr. LeRoy C. Cooley and the ashes placed beside her husband, who died 30 years ago.

Mr. Tucker owned the Winterset creamery for several years, and the Tucker home, now the property of Lee A. Graham, was a hospitable center for church and social gatherings.

Mrs. Tucker was a devoted member of the First Presbyterian church during her residence here. She possessed many friends who appreciated her refinement, her mental and social gifts.

Mrs. Helen Snider Eastman, a niece, who made her home here with the Tuckers for several years, had been with her aunt since paralysis in a severe form attacked Mrs. Tucker last fall, leaving her helpless.
