Leota Reynolds, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Reynolds, was born in McLean, Illinois, Sept. 30, 1882 and died in northern Lincoln township, Madison county, Iowa, Sept. 27, 1923, lacking three days of being 41 years of age. As a girl she came to this county with her parents, where she attended the Winterset public schools and the high school.

She was united in marriage to Frank B. Duff, in February 1900. The husband and ten children, seven girls and three boys survive: one child preceding her in death. Besides her immediate family she leaves to miss her presence and treasure her memory, the father, three brothers of Illinois and two sisters, living in Iowa. A goodly circle of friends and neighbors join with the community their sympathy.

Funeral services were conducted from the Church of Christ on Saturday afternoon by E.B. Chancellor. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
