Ralph Conrad Fundinger of Grand Junction, Colo., died Thursday, Sept. 7, at Community Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 77.

Mr. Fundinger, a resident of Grand Junction since October 1962, had been a mechanic for Jerome Craig & Sons Co.

He was born June 28, 1912, to William and Nellie Parkins Fundinger in Madison County, Iowa, where he spent his childhood and attended schools.

He married Darlene Brooker on Sept. 30, 1933, in Sidney, Iowa. They later divorced.

Mr. Fundinger lived in Iowa and Texas before moving to Grand Junction.

He was a member of the Lutheran Church and the Royal Order of the Moose Lodge in Iowa.

He enjoyed camping, fishing poker and his grandchildren.

Survivors include his mother, Nellie Johnson of Oramond Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Marcia L. Tilton of Grand Junction; a sister, Helen Keesey of Winterset, Iowa; several half-brothers and half-sisters; and two grandchildren.

A son, Ricky Lee, is deceased.

Funeral services were held Sept. 11 in the Callahan-Edfast Mortuary chapel with the Rev. Eddie Scroggins officiating. Burial was in Municipal Cemetery.
