Page 5AServices for May Lowe, 82, Winterset, who died April 30 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, were held Wednesday, May 3, at 1:00 p.m. at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Smith officiating. Burial was at the Earlham Cemetery.
Born at Earlham on March 11, 1907, she was the daughter of William and Blanche Speer White. She had lived here since 1968 after coming from Lorimor. She graduated from Earlham High School in 1925 and was a member of the Missionary Ladies of the Lorimor Baptist Church. Mrs. Lowe was married to Delbert Douglas in 1927 and later married to Ralph Lowe in 1947.
Survivors include a son, Russell of Dallas Center; daughters, Vada Garrett of Stuart and Lois Overholt of Montezuma; a sister, Gladys Barrett of Winterset; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her second husband, parents, a brother and sister.

WINTERSET, IA. – May Lowe, 82, of Winterset died of a stroke Sunday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Collins Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Earlham Cemetery.
Mrs. Lowe, a homemaker and member of the Missionary Ladies of Lorimor Baptist Church, was born in Earlham and moved to Winterset from Lorimor in 1968.
She is survived by a son, Russell of Dallas Center; two daughters, Vada Garrett of Stuart and Lois Overholt of Montezuma; a sister, Gladys Garrett of Winterset; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
