Paula Badgerow, daughter of Elmer and Annabelle (Keener) Bechtel, was born December 15, 1912 in Madison County, and died April 28, 1989 in Lamoni, Iowa at the age of 76 years.

She attended grade school and high school in Earlham.

On July 8, 1933 she was united in marriage to Virgil Badgerow in Des Moines. To this union were born three daughters: Susan Patton of Leon, Iowa; Gloria Peppmeier of Bondurant, Iowa and Marcia Toney of Indianola, Iowa.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Virgil; and brothers, Oliver and Virgil.

She is survived by her three daughters, 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and one sister, Pearl Hakes of Dallas Center, Iowa.

Funeral services, under the direction of the Slade & Duerr Funeral Home of Leon, Iowa were held Monday, May 1, at 1:00 p.m. from the funeral home. Officiating was the Rev. Terry Roberts. Burial was at the Earlham Cemetery, Earlham.
