Page 8ALois M. Berry, 87, of Adel died of a heart ailment August 9 at Adel Acres Care Center, of which she was a resident. The body was cremated and interment was Saturday, August 19 at Penn Center cemetery near Earlham.
She was born in Madison county and lived in New York and Florida before moving to Adel in 1980. She worked as a nurse in Florida until 1980 and was a member of the Earlham Church of Christ.
Surviving are three nephews, Larry Henkle of Earlham, Wilbur Henkle of Hamburg and Walter Henkle of Oak City, Okla.

Pg 6Lois Mae Berry, daughter of John and Mae Neff, was born March 11, 1902 at Penn Center Township and passed away August 9, 1989 at Adel Acres Care Center, having been a resident for nine years.
Lois was a charter member of the Earlham Church of Christ. She graduated from the Earlham Academy in 1920 and then completed her training from the Iowa Methodist Hospital Training School for Nurses in 1925. She moved to New York, met and married William Berry on April 19, 1942 at Fort Washington Church. Lois practiced her nursing in New York and Florida up until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband William; her parents; one brother Lester and a sister, Delma Henkle. She is survived by three nephews, Larry, Wilbur and Walter Henkle, cousins and friends.
Graveside services and inurnment of cremains on August 19, 1989 at Penn Center Cemetery, rural Earlham, Iowa with Reverend Ted Morelock officiating.
