October 2, 1918, Pg 2, St Charles NewsMrs. Mahala Arnold, who has been sick for some time passed away at her home in the west part of town last Monday. The funeral services were held in the M. E. church Tuesday, conducted by Rev. Orcutt, and her remains were laid to rest in the Young cemetery, east of town.
