Maxine departed this life on October 18, 2010 at the Methodist West Hospital in West Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held Monday October 25 at 10:30 a.m. at the Watson- Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr, IA. A family visitation will be held Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Ellston Cemetery.
She was born March 28, 1917 near Ellston, Iowa to Vincent and Amanda McConnell. She was married to Paul Wion on Dec. 25, 1940 and they made their home in Beaconsfield. After Pauls death in 1992 she moved to Earlham to be near family.
Surviving Maxine are her son Garry (Kay) Wion of Walker, MN and daughter Lynne (Robert) Waldron of Earlham, IA; six grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren.
