NORINE WRIGHT, LEON

Norine Wright, 71, of Leon, Iowa, died Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010, at Westview Acres Care Center in Leon, Iowa. Memorial services will be held today (Wednesday, Oct. 20) at 1:30 p.m., at McCalley-Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with Rev. Dr. John Shaull officiating. Her body has been cremated, with the cremains being buried in the Winterset Cemetery.

Norine was born on June 11, 1939, in West Bend, Iowa to Ralph and Wilma (Wells) Miller. She was married on Dec. 20, 1968, in Winterset to David Ray Wright. Norine had been a homemaker and had worked as a nurse’’s aide at the Madison County Memorial Hospital. She had also worked at Fareway and Casey’’s in Winterset. She spent most of her married life in Winterset until 1999 when she and her husband moved to Missouri.

Norine is survived by her children, Colon Wright of Des Moines, Ralph Wright and special friend Jeannette of Lorimor, Shelley Bradford and husband Robin of Garden Grove, Gary Wright and friend John of Garden Grove, Tami Wallace and friend Scott of Murray, and Bill Wright of Lorimor; brothers, Don Miller and wife Kate of Carroll, David Miller of Lindsey, Calif.; sister, Marsha Shell of Jacksonville, Arkansas; grandchildren, Mike Hartz, Tiffany Wright and special friend Gary, Jesse Bradford, and Beth Lawson; and great-grandchildren, Prescott, Jager, Melody, Ethin and Danica.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Wilma (Wells) Miller; husband, David Wright; and great-grandchild, Owen.

Memorials given to her family will be directed to Hospice of Central Iowa.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by McCalley-Collins Funeral Home in Winterset.
