George W. Patterson
George William Patterson, son of James and Susannah Patterson, was born February 22nd, 1862 in Ohio township of Madison county, and departed this life February 15th, 1927, at his home after a long and lingering illness, aged 64 years, 11 months and 24 days.
On January 6th, 1886, he was untied in marriage to Ann Hamilton. To this union were born seven children: Bessie deceased; Amy Denly of Truro; Ruby, deceased; Catherine Phillips of Truro; James of Chicago; John of Glendo, Wyoming; and Charley of Galveston, Texas.
He lived his entire life in Ohio township and was well known in and about Truro.
He leaves to mourn his death, besides his grief stricken family, three sisters, Mrs. Clara Reed of Chicago, Mrs. Kate Diedrich of Carlisle, Mrs Vivian Patterson of Osceola, (3 unreadable words), John of Ledyard, besides a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at the home and he was laid to rest in the Field cemetery.
