Samuel Atcheson, one of Winterset’s oldest and respected citizens, died at his home Feb. 19, 1913, aged 71 years, 1 month and 12 days. He is survived by his widow, two sons and one daughter, F. M. of Des Moines, Lee of Creston and Etta of Winterset and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Orr.

Mr. Atcheson was a carpenter by trade and was esteemed by all who knew him. He had been ill about 9 months. The funeral occurred from the home Friday at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. T. V. Dugan and interment was made in the Rock City cemetery.
