Atha Pearl Miller was born near West Liberty, Iowa, June 24, 1894, and died May 23, 1911, aged 16 years, 11 months and 3 days. She leaves a mother, father and little brother besides her near relatives and friends to mourn her loss.
Miss Atha will be greatly missed, not only at home, but in her church and community. She took great interest in her reparations for the Father, having made a confession early in life and uniting with the Oak Run Christian church November 6th, 1910.
Her trust was firmly in God when she was called to depart this life. She always exemplified a sweet, Christian character, and was ever anxious to go. She had no horror of death, but wanted to meet her Saviour. She is better off now than we, for heaven is far better than earth. Before the end came she fondly kissed her loved ones good-bye, and she now stands in heaven beckoning them to meet her in the skies.
The funeral was held from the Oak Run church Tuesday at 2 p. m., conducted by Rev. Roy C. Helfenstein, after which the body was laid to rest in the Ebeneezer cemetery.
