Truro Rites for OSCAR PORTER

Funeral services for Oscar Porter of St. Charles, who died at the Clarke County Hospital in Osceola last Friday, February 7, 1975, were held this Monday at the Kale Funeral Home in Truro. Mr. Porter was 77 years of age.

Oscar Porter was born at Ogden, Iowa on June 15, 1897, the son of Oliver and Julia Irwin Porter. He was educated in the Ogden schools and married Ida M. Kellison at Ogden on October 13, 1921.

Mr. Porter spent his life as a farmer.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Wilma Wonderlin of Woodburn, Iowa; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, Elston Porter of Ogden, and two sisters, Erma Clausen of Ogden and Gertie Allison of Rock Springs, Wyoming.

Mr. Porter was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and one brother.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, February 10 at the Kale Funeral Home in Truro with the Rev. Eldon Ringle of St. Charles officiating. Burial was in the St. Charles Cemetery.
