WALTER LIENEMANN, Minburn

Walter Clifford Lienemann, 88, died at his farm on June 10, 2010.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, June 14, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church near Van Meter with burial at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call after Noon Sunday at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel where family will greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m.

Walter farmed his entire life except for his service in the Army Air Corps during WWII. His marriage in 1954 to Betty Leach Lienemann was blessed with two daughters, Debra and Kim.

Walter is survived by his wife; two daughters, Debra (Don) Wise and Kim Royer; four grandchildren, Michael (Stefanie) Wise, Brian Wise, Susan Royer (Jimmy Boteler) and Brittany Royer; one brother, Lawrence (Marguerite); two sisters, Edna (Gene) Eaton, Clara Rineholdt; and sister in law, Mary Lu Lienemann.

He was preceded in death by six brothers, Pete, Nile, Elmer, Lowell, Virgil, and John; and one sister, Rosie Boone.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Minburn First Responders, Trinity Lutheran Church in Perry or the Trinity Lutheran Church in Van Meter.

Note: Mr. Lienemann was born in Jefferson Township, Madison County, Iowa. His gravestone is on line in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. His parents and siblings are buried there also.
